A CRISPRi Gene Regulation System for Bifidobacteria
Microbial Biotechnology, Volume 18, Issue 11, November 2025.We report the development of a single plasmid‐based CRISPR interference system based on a catalytically dead Cas9 from Streptococcus thermophilus for targeted gene repression in bifidobacteria. This system is capable of repressing genes in a diverse range of bifidobacteria enabling functional genomics studies in non‐model strains.
