History as geography: In search for Russian identity
This article addresses the notion of a Russian spacetime, in which the spatial parameters constitute one of the most important constant of history. This constant is not dependent on the governing ideology.

A measure of centrality in cyclic diffusion processes: Walk-betweenness.
Unlike many traditional measures of centrality based on paths that do not allow any repeated nodes or lines, we propose a new measure of centrality based on walks, walk-betweenness, that allows any number of repeated nodes or lines.

Algorithmic Aspects of Temporal Betweenness [PDF]
The betweenness centrality of a graph vertex measures how often this vertex is visited on shortest paths between other vertices of the graph. In the analysis of many real-world graphs or networks, betweenness centrality of a vertex is used as an ...

Gut Microbial Topology and Metabolic Signatures Associated With Colorectal Neoplasia
The gut microbiota organizes into two robust association patterns linked to colorectal neoplasia risk. Topological shifts in microbial networks are associated with metabolite alterations and may shape host responses during disease development. ABSTRACT Alterations of gut microbial communities impact health.

Topological Properties of International Commodity Market: How Uncertainty Affects the Linkages?
ABSTRACT The study aims to explore the network topology of the international commodity market by examining the interconnections among 21 commodity futures across various categories, including energy, precious and industrial metals, and agriculture. We analyze the market structure of these commodity futures under both low and high uncertainty conditions

Towards Classifying the Polynomial-Time Solvability of Temporal Betweenness Centrality
In static graphs, the betweenness centrality of a graph vertex measures how many times this vertex is part of a shortest path between any two graph vertices.

Abstract Taking Winnicott’s concept of transitional space as a starting point, I extend it to the idea of a transitional time (the temporal interval between two events) and to that of a bridge space/time – a bridge being a structure spanning an obstacle for the purpose of providing passage over it.

Axiomatic Theory of Betweenness
Betweenness as a relation between three individual points has been widely studied in geometry and axiomatized by several authors in different contexts. The article proposes a more general notion of betweenness as a relation between three sets of points ...

Materials Representation Learning Based on a Material–Motif Network and Heterogeneous Graphs
Structure motifs in materials are used to construct a bipartite material–motif network that links each material to its constituent motifs and establishes connectivity among materials sharing common motifs. Network analysis reveals material clusters associated with different functional applications and supports motif‐guided screening of materials.
