Probabilistic network sparsification with ego betweenness

open access: yesApplied Network Science, 2021
Sparsification is the process of decreasing the number of edges in a network while one or more topological properties are preserved. For probabilistic networks, sparsification has only been studied to preserve the expected degree of the nodes.

From Text to Value: Measuring and Pricing Firm Climate Risk Exposure

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine how the prominence and tone of climate risk disclosures affect firm value and strategic climate positioning for large European nonfinancial companies. We developed a firm‐level climate risk exposure (CRE) index that assesses climate risks within corporate narratives across four EU categories: transition risk, physical risk ...

Betweenness of partial orders

open access: yes, 2020
We construct a monadic second-order sentence that characterizes the ternary relations that are the betweenness relations of finite or infinite partial orders. We prove that no first-order sentence can do that.

From Centrality to Sustainability: How Connected Boards Shape Waste Management Outcomes

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The escalating climate crisis has elevated waste management from an operational concern to a critical issue of corporate governance. However, the role of board connectedness in shaping firms' waste practices remains largely unexplored. Drawing on resource dependency and social capital theories, this study examines how board network centrality ...

Structure of betweenness uniform graphs with low values of betweenness centrality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
This work deals with undirected graphs that have the same betweenness centrality for each vertex, so-called betweenness uniform graphs (or BUGs). The class of these graphs is not trivial and its classification is still an open problem.

From Waste to Value: A Bibliometric‐Systematic Review of Biogas and Biomethane Business Literature

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In response to escalating environmental challenges and the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions, the agri‐food sector is increasingly exploring business models grounded in circular economy (CE) principles based on the production of biogas and biomethane.

Betweenness centrality hub map.

open access: yes, 2013
Average betweenness centrality pial (A) and inflated (B) surface hub map with a mean betweenness centrality of 0.00124±0.00061 (SD). The colour scale for the betweenness centrality values is shown at the right of subfigure (A). See also Table S1.

Mapping Corporate Environment, Social, and Governance Discourses: Analysis of Korean Companies' Sustainability Reports (2014–2024)

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Corporations increasingly use Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports to articulate their commitments, priorities, and performance in sustainability governance. This study examines how Korean firms have configured and reconfigured their sustainability discourses across industries and time using 634 sustainability reports (2014–2024)

In silico analysis of putative interactions identifies fibroblasts as hubs for cell–cell communication during early regeneration of the zebrafish heart

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The zebrafish heart regenerates upon injury. During injury response, fibroblasts and endothelial cells accumulate at the site of damage, and cardiomyocyte cell cycle reentry allows cardiac muscle regrowth. It is relevant to understand how the different cell types communicate with each other to coordinate regeneration.
