Saxion cosmology for thermalized gravitino dark matter
In all supersymmetric theories, gravitinos, with mass suppressed by the Planck scale, are an obvious candidate for dark matter; but if gravitinos ever reached thermal equilibrium, such dark matter is apparently either too abundant or too hot, and is ...

Lepton-Flavor Violation and Physics beyond the Standard Model [PDF]
This talk discusses recent studies of (charged) lepton-flavor violation in physics beyond the standard model.

Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

Lectures on Physics Beyond the Standard Model [PDF]
These four lectures, given at the British Universities Summer School in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics (BUSSTEPP), held in 2014 in Southampton, are a brief introduction to a selection of current topics in physics Beyond the Standard Model.

Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Searches for Physics beyond the Standard Model from HERA [PDF]
Searches for physics beyond the Standard Model are reported from electron-proton collisions at a center of mass energy of 318 GeV. Results on a completely model independent search for deviations from Standard Model predictions at large transverse momenta are reported as well as generic searches for contact interactions, leptoquarks and excited fermions

B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Baryogenesis, dark matter, and flavor structure in non-thermal moduli cosmology
The appearance of scalar/moduli fields in the early universe, as motivated by string theory, naturally leads to non-thermal “moduli cosmology”. Such cosmology provides a consistent framework where the generation of radiation, baryons, and dark matter can

Beyond the Desert: Tevatron and LHC Results on Searches for Physics Beyond the Standard Model [PDF]
This is a brief and limited review of searches for physics beyond the Standard Model from the ATLAS, CDF, CMS and D0 experiments, as of the end of July 2011. Priority is given to the most recent results and to those with the largest integrated luminosity analyzed.

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.
