Celem artykułu jest ocena zakresu i kierunku zmian w poziomie bezrobocia oraz w rozmiarach i strukturze zatrudnienia na terenach peryferyjnych na przykładzie województwa warmińsko-mazurskiego. Przedmiotem analizy był także wpływ zmian na rynku pracy, wyrażających się malejącymi rozmiarami bezrobocia, na relacje pracownik-pracodawca.

The article analyses the issue of flows between employment and unemployment over the business cycle in Poland. Relationships were examined between the reference cycle, measured by real production and the number of newly registered unemployed persons and persons removed from unemployment rolls who received jobs.
