Flexural behaviors of hybrid concrete beams reinforced with BFRP bars and steel bars
Abstract Flexural behaviors of hybrid concrete beams reinforced with BFRP (Basalt Fiber Reinforced Plastic) bars and steel bars are studied in this paper. Tensile test, standard pull-out test of BFRP bars, and static flexural experiment of five different hybrid reinforced concrete beams were made.

Durability of BFRP bars wrapped in seawater sea sand concrete
Composite Structures, 2021Abstract To investigate the durability of structures containing basalt fibre-reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars wrapped in seawater sea sand concrete (SWSSC) in marine environments, three sizes (including bare BFRP bars) of SWSSC-wrapped BFRP bars were subjected to laboratory accelerated corrosion tests in simulated seawater environments.

Experimental study of concrete beams reinforced with hybrid bars (SFCBs and BFRP bars)
Materials and Structures/Materiaux Et Constructions, 2020This paper presents the flexural performance of new hybrid concrete beams reinforced with steel fiber-reinforced polymer composite bars (SFCBs) and basalt fiber-reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars. Ten concrete beams reinforced with hybrid SFCBs, BFRP bars, and steel bars were constructed and tested.

Bond performance between BFRP bars and 3D printed concrete
Construction and Building Materials, 2021Abstract To improve the design and construction of three-dimensional (3D) printed concrete structures, the bond performance between basalt fibre reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars and 3D printed concrete were analysed via pull-out tests. It is found that the bond strength of 3D printed specimens was lower than that of mould-cast specimens, while the ...

Bond Performance of Near-Surface Mounted BFRP Bars to Concrete [PDF]
This paper presents the test results of a study on the bond performance of near-surface mounted (NSM) basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars to concrete. Twelve C-shape concrete specimens were tested under direct pull-out loading configuration. Test parameters included the bar surface configuration (deformed and sand coated), the types of epoxy ...

Investigation of BFRP bar reinforced geopolymer concrete filled BFRP tube columns
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Structures and Buildings, 2022An experimental investigation was carried out on a novel type of concrete-filled tube column, which used geopolymer concrete and basalt-fibre-reinforced-polymer reinforcing bars and confinement tube. Geopolymer concrete was used in place of ordinary Portland cement concrete to counter the sustainability challenges of conventional cement manufacture ...
