Large remanent magnetization in Bi doped CaMn7O12 compounds: Magnetic and X-ray absorption spectroscopic studies

Abstract The structural and magnetic properties of Bi doped CaMn7O12 (CMO) multiferroics are correlated with the results of electronic structures obtained from X-ray absorption spectroscopy. These compounds were prepared by using wet sol–gel technique and their X-ray diffraction patterns confirm the single phase formation.

Effect of Bi doping on thermoelectric properties of Ge0.90−xPb0.10BixTe compounds

Abstract Doping is an effective way to optimize the performance of thermoelectric materials. In order to investigate the effect of Bi doping on microstructures and thermoelectric properties of Ge0.90Pb0.10Te, a series of Ge0.90−xPb0.10BixTe compounds were prepared by a melting-quenching-annealing process followed by spark plasma sintering.

Electrooxidation of some phenolic compounds at Bi-doped PbO2

It has been determined that bismuth content in the oxide grows from 0.49 to 1.81 wt% while increasing the Bi3+ ions additive concentration in the solution from 1 to 10 mM. It has been found that ionic additives affect the degree of hydroxylation of lead dioxide surface layer and the bond strength of the oxygen-containing particles.

Enhanced thermoelectric properties of Mg2Si0.58Sn0.42 compounds by Bi doping

Abstract N-type Mg2Si0.58Sn0.42 − xBix (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.015) compounds were prepared by melting the element metals in sealed tantalum tubes followed by hot pressing. The XRD results indicate that all samples are composites containing both major magnesium silicide solution phase and minor magnesium stannide solution phase.

Phase diagram and flux pinning in Bi-doping BaPbO3 compounds

Abstract Bi-doped Mg2Si (Mg2Si:Bim, m = 0, 0.005, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03) was prepared by solid-state synthesis. The electronic transport properties (Hall coefficient, mobility and carrier concentration) and thermoelectric properties (Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and figure-of-merit) were examined.
