Enhanced thermoelectric performance in Bi-doped p-type AgSbTe2 compounds

Journal of Applied Physics, 2013
The influence of bismuth (Bi) substitution on the thermoelectric properties of AgSbTe2 compounds was investigated and compared with the undoped AgSbTe2. The addition of Bi dopants not only resulted in a reduction in thermal conductivity but also markedly increased the thermopower in the Ag(Sb1−xBix)Te2 series. Additional phonon scatterings were created

Effect of Bi-doping on the electrochemical behaviour of layered MnO2 as lithium intercalation compound

Electrochimica Acta, 1995
Electrochemical lithium insertion into layered MnO2 forms containing bismuth is reported. A low temperature technique based on a slow coprecipitation in acidic medium in the presence of KMnO4 and a bismuth (III) salt is applied, leading to amorphous MnO2 forms. A chronopotentiometric study has shown that the lithium insertion process occurs in one step

Enhancement of thermoelectric properties of Mg2Si compounds with Bi doping through carrier concentration tuning

Electronic Materials Letters, 2014
The Bi-doped Mg2Si powder was fabricated with solid state reaction method and consolidated with hot pressing method and then its thermoelectric properties were investigated. The n-type transport properties were measured in all samples and temperature dependence of the electrical properties shows a behavior of degenerate semiconductors for Bi-doped ...

Bi-doped La2ZnMnO6− and relevant Bi-deficient compound as potential cathodes for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells

Solid State Ionics, 2015
Abstract The effects of Bi-doping and Bi-deficiency of La2ZnMnO6 − δ as cathode on the electrochemical properties were studied through a complex of physical-chemical characterization. We synthesized a series of compounds via a Pechini route, and the phase purity was greatly influenced by the A-site composition.
