(p, q)-Lucas polynomials and their applications to bi-univalent functions

open access: yesProyecciones (Antofagasta), 2019
In the present paper, by using the Lp,q,n(x) functions, our methodology intertwine to yield the Theory of Geometric Functions and that of Special Functions, which are usually considered as very different fields. Thus, we aim at introducing a new class of bi-univalent functions defined through the (p, q)-Lucas polynomials.

Flexibilizing inorganic thermoelectrics

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
This perspective reviews advances in flexible inorganic thermoelectric materials, covering ductile bulks, thin films, and fibers/yarns. It highlights strategies like warm metalworking, van der Waals material screening, orientation and sandwich engineering, and device integration, offering pathways to combine flexibility and performance for wearable ...

On a subclass of analytic functions involving harmonic means

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2015
In the present paper, we consider a generalised subclass of analytic functions involving arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means. For this function class we obtain an inclusion result, Fekete-Szegö inequality and coefficient bounds for bi-univalent ...

Bi-Bazilevič functions of complex order involving Ruscheweyh type q-difference operator

open access: yesAnnales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis: Studia Mathematica, 2018
In this paper, we define a new subclass of bi-univalent functions involving q-difference operator in the open unit disk. For functions belonging to this class, we obtain estimates on the first two Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients |a2| and |a3|.

Estimates for the Initial Coefficients of Bi-univalent Functions

open access: yes, 2016
[[abstract]]A bi-univalent function is a univalent function defined on the unit disk for which the inverse function has a univalent extension to the unit disk. The paper of H. M. Srivastava, A. K. Mishra and P.

Emotional Ambivalence Contextualized: The Antecedents and Consequences of Daily Affective Profiles During Pregnancy

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research has increasingly highlighted the prevalence of emotionally ambivalent experiences for employees at work, with several self‐regulatory benefits emerging. Yet we do not have a full understanding of which work‐related contexts yield generative or maladaptive consequences of emotional ambivalence.

Coefficient Estimates for New Subclasses of Analytic and Bi-Univalent Functions Defined by Al-Oboudi Differential Operator

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2013
We introduce and investigate two new subclasses and of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk For functions belonging to these classes, we obtain estimates on the first two Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients ...

An extremal problem for univalent functions [PDF]

open access: yes
Let S be the class of functions f(z)=z+a2z2 ,… f(0)=0, f′(0)=1 which are regular and univalent in the unit disk |z| x the equation φ′( x)=0 does not have real roots. Since S is a compact class, there exists x . This problem was first proposed by Petru T.

Coefficient Estimates for Subclasses of Bi-Univalent Functions

open access: yesJournal of Al-Qadisiyah for Computer Science and Mathematics, 2018
In the present paper, we introduce two new subclasses of  the class consisting of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk . Also, we obtain the estimates on the Taylor-Maclurin   coefficients and for functions in these subclasses. We obtain new special cases for our results.
