Multi-center clinical trials: Randomization and ancillary statistics
The purpose of this paper is to investigate and develop methods for analysis of multi-center randomized clinical trials which only rely on the randomization process as a basis of inference.

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Data Sketches for Disaggregated Subset Sum and Frequent Item Estimation
We introduce and study a new data sketch for processing massive datasets. It addresses two common problems: 1) computing a sum given arbitrary filter conditions and 2) identifying the frequent items or heavy hitters in a data set.

On-Line Paging Against Adversarially Biased Random Inputs [PDF]
In evaluating an algorithm, worst-case analysis can be overly pessimistic. Average-case analysis can be overly optimistic. An intermediate approach is to show that an algorithm does well on a broad class of input distributions. Koutsoupias and Papadimitriou recently analyzed the least-recently-used (LRU) paging strategy in this manner, analyzing its ...

Tracking Motor Progression and Device‐Aided Therapy Eligibility in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To characterise the progression of motor symptoms and identify eligibility for device‐aided therapies in Parkinson's disease, using both the 5‐2‐1 criteria and a refined clinical definition, while examining differences across genetic subgroups.

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

Changes in Immune‐Inflammation Status and Acute Ischemic Stroke Prognosis in Prospective Cohort
ABSTRACT Background Inflammation is a critical risk factor for poor outcomes in cerebral infarction. Prior studies focused primarily on baseline inflammation status, neglecting dynamic longitudinal changes. We try to investigate the association between immune‐inflammation status alterations and stroke prognosis, and evaluated three systemic biomarkers'
