Tuneable Hydrogel Porosity via Dynamic Tailoring of Spinodal Decomposition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The authors introduce a straightforward method for dynamically halting the phase separation of a gelatin methacryloyl and poly(vinyl alcohol) (GelMA‐PVA) polymer blend in the context of a biofabrication process based on dynamic interface printing (DIP).

Determination of the Experimental Minimal Formula of Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a simple yet rigorous method to determine the precise chemical composition of metal‐organic frameworks using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Thermogravimetric Analaysis (TGA), and ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐vis) spectroscopy. This approach reveals overlooked inorganic ligands and provides accurate experimental molar masses, enhancing ...

Bio‐Inspired Structural Color Irises as Physical Unclonable Functions for Anti‐Counterfeiting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work employs colloidal photonic crystals to create macro‐to‐micro scale PUF anti‐counterfeiting patterns. Integrated with iris recognition algorithms, it establishes a multi‐layered optical anti‐counterfeiting system based on structural color irises.

Fullerene C70‐Encapsulated Tetrathiafulvalene‐Co Porphyrin Covalent Organic Framework: Driving Multistep Charge Transfer to Boost CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The encapsulation of C70 into COF has improved the efficiency of photocatalytic CO2 reduction significantly. The introduction of C70 drives multistep charge transfer and forms a long‐lived charge‐separated state. It also thermodynamically lowers the energy barrier of the rate‐determining step.

Exploring the role of PdO and oxygen vacancies of Pd/CeO2 in bicarbonate hydrogenation

open access: yesJournal of CO2 Utilization
The hydrogenation of bicarbonates in aqueous solutions using a Pd-based catalyst is an effective method for the production of formate. Herein, we synthesized finely dispersed Pd/CeO2 catalysts via a two-step calcination method and evaluated their ...
