A Unified Framework for Fault‐Tolerant Metric Dimension of Layered Sequential Join Graphs With Applications to Hierarchical Networks

open access: yesExpert Systems, Volume 43, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Fault‐tolerant monitoring and reliable node identification are essential requirements in modern hierarchical communication systems such as IoT–Fog–Cloud architectures and distributed sensing networks. The fault‐tolerant metric dimension (FTMD) provides an effective graph‐theoretic framework for resilient localization and monitoring in such ...

The Connected Detour Numbers of Special Classes of Connected Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2019
Simple finite connected graphs G=V,E of p≥2 vertices are considered in this paper. A connected detour set of G is defined as a subset S⊆V such that the induced subgraph GS is connected and every vertex of G lies on a u−v detour for some u,v∈S.

On the Laplacian Coefficients of Bicyclic Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesUniversal Journal of Applied Mathematics, 2015
In this paper, we investigate how the Laplacian coefficients changed after some graph transformations. So, I express some results about Laplacian coefficients ordering of graphs, focusing our attention to the bicyclic graphs. Finally, as an application of these results, we discuss the ordering of graphs based on their Laplacian like energy.

Bond and Antibond Resonances: A Unified Framework for Singlet Biradical Character

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 23, 16 June 2026.
The electronic structure of a variety of singlet biradicaloids may be described in the Lewis picture using single antibonds as the central bonding motif. In conjunction with a consistent set of biradical indicators, we can resolve some long‐standing disputes over the biradical character of molecules such as O3 and S2N2.

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1392-1397, June 2026.
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

High‐Intensity Interval Training Boosts Immune Cells in Advanced Cancer Patients and Healthy Controls: Implications for Cancer Care

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Regular exercise improves quality of life (QoL) and reduces fatigue in advanced cancer patients (ACP), but acute immune responses are underexplored. This study investigated the effects of a single high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) session on natural killer (NK) cells and circulating innate lymphoid cells (cILCs) in ACP ...

Identification of Novel Small‐Molecule Inhibitors Targeting KDM5B and Evaluation of Their Antitumour Effects

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT KDM5B, a member of the KDM5 family of histone demethylases, plays a critical role in transcriptional repression by demethylating H3K4me2/3. It regulates key biological processes such as development, stem cell maintenance, and oncogenesis, and its aberrant expression is implicated in various cancers. Accordingly, KDM5B is considered a promising

Some Bicyclic Graphs Having 2 as Their Laplacian Eigenvalues

open access: yes, 2019
If G is a graph, its Laplacian is the difference between the diagonal matrix of its vertex degrees and its adjacency matrix. A one-edge connection of two graphs G 1 and G 2 is a graph G = G 1 ⊙ u v G 2 with V ( G ) =

Isolation of Metabolites With Antiviral Activity From the Brown Algae Dictyota fasciola and Dictyota mediterranea

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 6, June 2026.
Twenty‐one compounds, including six dolabellanes diterpenes and one germacrene sesquiterpene that are new natural products, are reported from the brown algae Dictyota fasciola and Dictyota mediterranea collected from the Aegean Sea. Among them, some exhibit considerable antiviral activity against RNA (HCoV‐NL63, ZIKV) and DNA (HSV‐1) viruses.
