Toward bifunctional antibody catalysis

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2006
Antibodies that catalyze the deprotonation of unactivated benzisoxazoles to give the corresponding salicylonitriles were prepared using as antigen a 2-aminobenzimidazolium derivative coupled to a carrier protein via its benzene ring. The hapten was designed to induce an antibody binding site with both a base and an acid, in position to initiate proton ...

Nanostructured Bifunctional Redox Electrocatalysts

Small, 2016
Electrocatalysts are playing a prominent role in the design of renewable energy devices. Benefiting from a long and prosperous history of synthesizing individual hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) electrocatalysts, the development of bifunctional ORR/OER or HER/OER electrocatalysts has

Bifunctional Antibodies for Radioimmunotherapy

Hybridoma, 1995
In two-step targeting technique using bifunctional antibodies, a nonradiolabeled immunoconjugate with slow uptake kinetics (several days) is initially injected, followed by a small radiolabeled hapten with fast kinetics (several hours) that binds to the bispecific immunoconjugate already taken up by the tumor target.

Tight bifunctional hierarchical catalyst

Chemical Communications, 2011
A new concept to prepare tight bifunctional catalysts has been developed, by anchoring CoMo(6) clusters on hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolites for simultaneous use in HDS and hydrocracking catalysis. The prepared material displays a significant improved activity in HDS catalysis compared to the impregnated counterpart.

[57] Bifunctional reagents

1972
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the use of bifunctional reagents to proteins, and several cross-linking reagents, such as mustards and epoxides, which have recently been used to cross-link DNA. It has been demonstrated that at least some of the cross-links join opposite strands of the reacted DNA, therefore, very interesting structural and ...

Plasmonic/Magnetic Bifunctional Nanoparticles

Angewandte Chemie, 2011
An amorphous seed-mediated strategy has been developed for the synthesis of hybrid nanoparticles that are composed of silver (yellow) and iron oxide (blue) nanodomains and exhibit unique optical properties. These properties originate from both the strong surface plasmon resonance of the silver and the strong superparamagnetic responses of the iron ...

Bifunctional Molecules beyond PROTACs

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2020
Heterobifunctional molecules, which recruit E3 ligases to ubiquitinate a target protein of interest, have found wide application as both biological tools and molecules with the potential to have clinical effects. In their recent paper, Yamazoe et al. report a heterobifunctional molecule that recruits the phosphatase PP1 to promote the dephosphorylation
