Mixing‐Driven Defects and Composition Evolution in Multi‐Material Metal Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Operando synchrotron X‐ray imaging coupled with high‐fidelity multiphysics modeling uncovers how inter‐material mixing reshapes keyhole dynamics and drives distinct pore‐formation pathways in multi‐material laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). Composition‐dependent instabilities trigger defects, whereas rescanning suppresses porosity and homogenizes Cu ...

The lowest point of the continuous spectrum as a bifurcation point

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1979
AbstractFor a class of monotone differential operators we show that the lowest point of the continuous spectrum of the linearization is a bifurcation point. By the method of upper and lower solutions we prove the existence of a global branch of positive solutions.

TRIM: Simultaneous Thermometry, Ranging, and Imaging via a Monolithic Metalens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While metasurfaces offer a pathway beyond the discrete architectures of conventional LWIR systems, physically fusing high‐precision thermometry and passive ranging onto a single metalens remains a formidable challenge. Here, we demonstrate a monolithic, dual‐focus metalens capable of simultaneous multidimensional sensing.

Existence of nodal solutions to some nonlinear boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations of fourth order

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
In this paper, we study the existence of nodal solutions of some nonlinear boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations of fourth order with a spectral parameter in the boundary condition.

Some bifurcation diagrams for limit cycles of quadratic differential systems

open access: yes, 2001
Concrete numerical examples of quadratic differential systems having three limit cycles surrounding one singular point are shown. In case another finite singular point also exists, a (3, 1) distribution of limit cycles is also obtained.

Complex Dynamics of a Discrete-Time Prey-Predator System With Leslie Type: Stability, Bifurcation Analyses and Chaos

open access: yes, 2020
Dynamic behavior of a discrete-Time prey-predator system with Leslie type is analyzed. The discrete mathematical model was obtained by applying the forward Euler scheme to its continuous-Time counterpart.

Beyond Electrostatics: Anion‐π+ Orbital Hybridization Underpins High‐Performance Chloride Storage in Poly(arylamine) Organic Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The fundamental nature of anion storage in p‐type organic cathodes is elucidated using rigid poly(arylamine) frameworks. This study reveals a hybrid covalent‐ionic mechanism for anion‐π+ interactions, driven by synergistic orbital hybridization and electrostatic attraction.

NONDEGENERATE UMBILICS, THE PATH FORMULATION and GRADIENT BIFURCATION PROBLEMS

open access: yes, 2009
Parametrized contact-equivalence is a successful theory for the understanding and classification of the qualitative local behavior of bifurcation diagrams and their perturbations.

Femtosecond‐Laser‐Induced Physical Unclonable Random Maze Structure for Storage‐Free Encryption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Femtosecond‐laser‐induced gold random maze structures serve as multimodal physical unclonable functions for storage‐free encryption. Their stochastic optical, electrical, and Raman responses are generated by plasmon‐assisted Marangoni formation and converted into AES‐compatible keys without permanent secret‐key storage, offering a portable route toward
