Analysis of stationary points and their bifurcations in the ABC -flow [PDF]
Analytical expressions for coordinates of stationary points and conditions for their existence in the ABC flow are received. The type of the stationary points is shown analytically to be saddle-node. Exact expressions for eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the stability matrix are given.

A universal bifurcation mechanism arising from progressive hydroelastic waves
A unidirectional, weakly dispersive nonlinear model is proposed to describe the supercritical bifurcation arising from hydroelastic waves in deep water.

Equilibrium Point Bifurcation and Singularity Analysis of HH Model with Constraint
We present the equilibrium point bifurcation and singularity analysis of HH model with constraints. We investigate the effect of constraints and parameters on the type of equilibrium point bifurcation.

FUNDAMENTAL MODELS OF STRUCTURAL STABILITY
In this paper, basic structural stability phenomena are described. After some general comments about stability in the field of civil engineering, four elementary sources of nonlinearity are mentioned: of equilibrium equations, strain (geometry) relations,

Multi-parameter uncertainty analysis of a bifurcation point [PDF]
Parameter uncertainty analysis of climate models has become a standard approach for model validation and testing their sensitivity. Here we present a novel approach that allows one to estimate the robustness of a bifurcation point in a multi-parameter ...

Investigation of Early Warning Indexes in a Three-Dimensional Chaotic System with Zero Eigenvalues
A rare three-dimensional chaotic system with all eigenvalues equal to zero is proposed, and its dynamical properties are investigated. The chaotic system has one equilibrium point at the origin.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

On the application of Newton's and Chord methods to bifurcation problems
This paper is concerned with the applications of Newton's and chord methods in the computations of the bifurcation solutions in a neighborhood of a simple bifurcation point for prescribed values of the bifurcation parameter.
