A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

On the application of Newton's and Chord methods to bifurcation problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1994
This paper is concerned with the applications of Newton's and chord methods in the computations of the bifurcation solutions in a neighborhood of a simple bifurcation point for prescribed values of the bifurcation parameter.

Stability Analysis of a Fractional-Order SEIR-KS Computer Virus-Spreading Model with Two Delays

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
In this paper, the stability and Hopf bifurcation of a fractional-order model of the Susceptible-Exposed-Infected-Kill Signals Recovered (SEIR-KS) computer virus with two delays are studied.

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...

Equivalent dimensionality reduction method of doubly‐fed induction generator model and discrimination of Hopf bifurcation type

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering, 2023
The strong coupling, multivariate, and nonlinear characteristics of the mathematical model of a doubly‐fed induction generator (DFIG) make it challenging to analyze the bifurcation category of the DFIG. Therefore, in this study, we developed a method for

Bifurcations of global reinjection orbits near a saddle-node Hopf bifurcation

open access: yes, 2006
The saddle-node Hopf bifurcation (SNH) is a generic codimension-two bifurcation of equilibria of vector fields in dimension at least three. It has been identified as an organizing centre in numerous vector field models arising in applications.

Steering Oxygen Activation Pathways via Redox Dual‐Defects in 2D Hydrated WO3 for High‐Yield Singlet Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.

Driven Force Induced Bifurcation Delay on the Chaotic Financial System

open access: yesComplexity, 2022
To understand the variations in the financial characteristics, we examine the dynamical behaviors by considering the chaotic financial model with external force.
