BIFURCATIONS ON ELLIPTIC FUNCTIONS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2001In this paper we are dealing with the dynamical properties of the Jacobian elliptic functions, cosine-amplitude and sine-amplitude. Seen as one parameter dynamical systems, they present a flip type bifurcation at the origin. In fact they are particular cases of some general families of functions holding sufficient conditions we call degenerate.

Infinite Period Bifurcation and Global Bifurcation Branches
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1981Branches of periodic solutions which exhibit the alternatives of the global Hopf bifurcation theorem are calculated for two general systems of differential equations.

Bifurcation of Elastic Multilayers
2013The occurrence of a bifurcation in a multilayer structure during loading sets a limit on its deformability, and therefore represents an important factor in the design of composites. Since bifurcationis strongly influenced by the contact conditions at the interfaces between the layers, the mechanical modeling of these conditions is crucial.

Abstract A bifurcation is a qualitative change in the dynamical behavior of a system or the topological structure of its phase portrait as one or more parameters pass through a critical value. Any point in parameter space where the dynamical system is structurally unstable is a bifurcation point, and the set of all such points is a ...
