High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐

Incommensurate conformable-type three-dimensional Lotka–Volterra model: discretization, stability, and bifurcation

open access: yesArab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2022
The classic Lotka–Volterra model is a two-dimensional system of differential equations used to model population dynamics among two-species: a predator and its prey. In this article, we consider a modified three-dimensional fractional-order Lotka–Volterra

Unstable periodic orbits in a chaotic meandering jet flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We study the origin and bifurcations of typical classes of unstable periodic orbits in a jet flow that was introduced before as a kinematic model of chaotic advection, transport and mixing of passive scalars in meandering oceanic and atmospheric currents.

Magnetism and Nonlinear Charge Transport in NiFe2O4/γ‐Al2O3/SrTiO3 Heterostructure: Toward Spintronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this report, we demonstrate that a crystalline phase of 52nm thick NiFe2O4 can be grown by RF sputtering on top of γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 at a significantly low temperature (150 °C) without compromising the mobility and carrier density of the 2D electron gas at the γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 interface.

A New Model for the Dynamics of Hepatitis C Infection: Derivation, Analysis and Implications

open access: yesViruses, 2018
We review various existing models of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and show that there are inconsistencies between the models and known behaviour of the infection.

Collaboration between predators and weak Allee effect in prey. Consequences on the dynamics of a predation model

open access: yesSelecciones Matemáticas, 2022
The interactions between predators and their prey in the real world are usually affected by diverse ecological phenomena acting on both the prey and the predators.

An assessment of the remodelling of bifurcations in hazel (Corylus avellana L.) in response to bracing, drilling and splitting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper provides an insight into the ability of bifurcations in hazel trees to remodel themselves after bracing, drilling and splitting. The study uses evidence from field observations and testing the strength of these bifurcations using a universal ...

Periodic-orbit approach to the nuclear shell structures with power-law potential models: Bridge orbits and prolate-oblate asymmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Deformed shell structures in nuclear mean-field potentials are systematically investigated as functions of deformation and surface diffuseness. As the mean-field model to investigate nuclear shell structures in a wide range of mass numbers, we propose ...

Rolling and Impacting Caustic Drops on Super Liquid‐Repellent Surfaces: In Situ Force and Energy Monitoring of Surface Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The use of continuous drop‐based force and energy probing methods is introduced to evaluate in situ chemical degradation of super liquid‐repellent surfaces by caustic liquids. By tracking the velocity of rolling drops and energy dissipation of impacting drops, degradation dynamics are resolved under high spatio‐temporal precision. Using this technique,

Cloning of Chimera States in a Large Short-term Coupled Multiplex Network of Relaxation Oscillators

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, 2019
A new phenomenon of the chimera states cloning in a large two-layer multiplex network with short-term couplings has been discovered and studied. For certain values of strength and time of multiplex interaction, in the initially disordered layer, a state ...
