Strain Tuning the Occupation of Candidate Topological Weyl States in W‐Doped MoTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The present study investigates strain‐induced modifications of the electronic structure in the Weyl semimetal Td${\rm T}_d$‐Mo0.91W0.09Te2${\mathrm{Mo}}_{0.91}{\mathrm{W}}_{0.09}{\mathrm{Te}}_{2}$ using hard X‐ray angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy.

CD177 Deficiency Defines a Stable Subtype of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes with Tumor Promoting Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

Controlled Peptide Capture and Release in 3D‐Printed Multimaterial Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐photon laser printing of 3D microstructures using a peptide‐containing ink is shown. The microstructures allow for controlled capture and release of target peptides through coiled‐coil interaction with the printed peptide inside the material. Based on these properties, orthogonal capture and stimuli‐mediated release possibilities inside printed ...

RRAM Variability Harvesting for CIM‐Integrated TRNG

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a compute‐in‐memory‐compatible true random number generator that harvests intrinsic cycle‐to‐cycle variability from a 1T1R RRAM array. Parallel entropy extraction enables high‐throughput bit generation without dedicated circuits. This approach achieves NIST‐compliant randomness and low per‐bit energy, offering a scalable hardware

A new orientation for research on problem solving and competencies in any domain

open access: yesJournal of Dynamic Decision Making, 2019
Research on complex problem solving (CPS) has reached a stage where certain standards have been achieved, whereas the future development is quite ambiguous.

Interdisciplinary Research: A Phenomenological Perspective on Participation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Interdisciplinary Sciences, 2022
To advance the efficiency and effectiveness of inter-disciplinary research, and to obtain valid strategies for inter-disciplinary projects, there is a need to define inter-disciplinary research approaches explicitly. The current study aims generally to

Extrinsic and Intrinsic Charge Transfer at Interfaces of Membrane‐Based Oxide Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Freestanding oxides have emerged as a new opportunity to tailor oxides outside of the typical epitaxial constraints. We present the fabrication of TiO2‐terminated SrTiO3 membranes via direct growth control. We demonstrate competing ionic and electronic charge transfer in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 bilayers using near ambient pressure XPS.
