Sağlık hizmetleri; geçmişten bugüne ve özellikle son yıllarda teknolojinin hızla ilerlemesiyle büyük aşamalar kaydetmiştir. Bununla beraber hastanelerin kalbi adeta bilgi sistemleri olmuştur. Çünkü hastaların tüm kişisel bilgileri ve sağlık verileri bu sistemlere yüklenip entegre bir şekilde istenilen anda bilgiye ulaşmayı mümkün kılmıştır.
