Abstract Plutonium was discovered and first synthesized in the early 1940's. Several isotopes of plutonium are used in nuclear technologies, 238Pu for heat generation and 239Pu for energy production and weapons. Both isotopes emit alpha particles, which pose a significant radiation hazard when incorporated into the body.

Dietary supplement of sodium butyrate, may relate to regulating intestinal health and thus the growth performance and meat quality of rabbits by regulating the continuous process of promoting the periodic cycle of cecal epithelial cells. Abstract Supplementation of sodium butyrate (SB) has been proved to be beneficial for improving the growth ...

Tract orientation mapping for bundle-specific tractography [PDF]
While the major white matter tracts are of great interest to numerous studies in neuroscience and medicine, their manual dissection in larger cohorts from diffusion MRI tractograms is time-consuming, requires expert knowledge and is hard to reproduce. Tract orientation mapping (TOM) is a novel concept that facilitates bundle-specific tractography based

HAMLET: Hierarchical Harmonic Filters for Learning Tracts from Diffusion MRI [PDF]
In this work we propose HAMLET, a novel tract learning algorithm, which, after training, maps raw diffusion weighted MRI directly onto an image which simultaneously indicates tract direction and tract presence. The automatic learning of fiber tracts based on diffusion MRI data is a rather new idea, which tries to overcome limitations of atlas-based ...

Abstract Aims Paltusotine is a novel, nonpeptide, selective somatostatin receptor 2 agonist in development for the treatment of acromegaly and carcinoid syndrome. This study investigated the mass balance, routes of excretion, absolute bioavailability and metabolite profile of orally administered paltusotine.
