This study presents that the WRF model, coupled with bulk urban parameterization, effectively captures the summer urban heat island (UHI) patterns across the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East, showing stronger night‐time surface UHIs (5°C–6°C) and daytime surface cool islands (up to 12.5°C).

Bilinear Pairings on Elliptic Curves

Abstract As near‐surface wind speed (NSWS) largely controls wind power generation, robust projection is vital to wind energy planning and broader sustainability goals. However, the predictive skill of climate models for NSWS remains uncertain. Analysis of Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 simulations shows that the models reproduce the mean

As Mexico faces rising temperatures and increasing events of extreme heat, improvements in the analysis and characterisation of these phenomena are necessary, as they offer new insights into the spatial variability of such trends and their underlying causes.

High‐Conductivity Electrolytes Screened Using Fragment‐ and Composition‐Aware Deep Learning
We present a new deep learning framework that hierarchically links molecular and functional unit attributions to predict electrolyte conductivity. By integrating molecular composition, ratios, and physicochemical descriptors, it achieves accurate, interpretable predictions and large‐scale virtual screening, offering chemically meaningful insights for ...

Eagles see ahead. Now our model does too. By modeling how eagles respond to terrain and wind conditions in their line of sight, we can predict where they'll fly in the next 3 min with 3× better accuracy than current methods—protecting eagles while maximizing energy production.

Invariant Bilinear Differential Pairings on Parabolic Geometries
This thesis is concerned with the theory of invariant bilinear differential pairings on parabolic geometries. It introduces the concept formally with the help of the jet bundle formalism and provides a detailed analysis. More precisely, after introducing the most important notations and definitions, we first of all give an algebraic description for ...
