Stability of a Fully Discrete Local Discontinuous Galerkin Method for the Generalized Benjamin–Ono Equation

open access: yesNumerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations, Volume 42, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The main purpose of this paper is to design a fully discrete local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) scheme for the generalized Benjamin–Ono equation. First, we prove the L2$$ {L}^2 $$‐stability for the proposed semi‐discrete LDG scheme and obtained a suboptimal order of convergence for power nonlinear flux.

Three‐Dimensional Object Perception Can Emerge From Predictive Learning

open access: yesDevelopmental Science, Volume 29, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT How do infants develop the ability to perceive objects in a 3D world? The theory of core knowledge suggests infants employ a few principles, such as cohesion, continuity, rigidity, and contact, to guide inference of objects. However, it is challenging to answer how object perception can be learned with similar constraints faced by infants and ...

Solar Geoengineering Effects on Malaria Transmission Risk in South Asia Under G6sulfur Scenario

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 46, Issue 7, 15 June 2026.
Comparison of EIR (unit: No of infected bites per person per day) for each considered country in South Asia, under the considered scenarios, averaged over the period 2020–2090. A regression equation is shown for each country (for Bhutan EIRG = 0.1690 × 10−10 EIRS + 0.5968 × 10−12) to illustrate the projected trend.

Domain‐Aware Implicit Network for Arbitrary‐Scale Remote Sensing Image Super‐Resolution

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, Volume 2, Issue 3, June 2026.
Although existing arbitrary‐scale image super‐resolution methods are flexible to reconstruct images with arbitrary scales, the characteristic of training distribution is neglected that there exists domain shift between samples of various scales. In this work, a Domain‐Aware Implicit Network (DAIN) is proposed to handle it from the perspective of domain

Breaking pairing-based cryptosystems using $\eta_T$ pairing over $GF(3^{97})$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
There are many useful cryptographic schemes, such as ID-based encryption, short signature, keyword searchable encryption, attribute-based encryption, functional encryption, that use a bilinear pairing.

Climate Warming Will Reduce Boreal Forest Litterfall, but the Response Differs Among Plant Functional Types

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We synthesized boreal litterfall data from published studies and applied generalized additive models to examine how stand age‐ and temperature‐related litterfall dynamics varies across plant functional types, and to project future trends under climate change.

Hardware architecture for pairing-based cryptography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Bilinear pairings over elliptic curves are an emerging research field in cryptography. First cryptographic protocols based on bilinear pairings were proposed by the year 2000 and currently they are not standardized.
