Photo‐Activated Merging Cascades in Droplet Swarms Upon Synergistic Solvation of Surfactants

UV activates the motility of UV‐responsive droplets through a decylammonium/carbamate crystalline layer at the air/water interface. Sensing‐Integrated Patient‐Derived Tumorspheres Predict Chemotherapeutic Efficacy via Local Extracellular pH Dynamics

Additive Manufacturing of Hot‐Work Tool Steel by In Situ Alloying Using Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Directed Energy Deposition—Strategies to Improve Chemical Homogeneity

To support future alloy development a powder mixture is processed by laser additive manufacturing. The powder mixture containing Mo‐ and W‐rich tracers is processed by powder bed fusion using single and double laser exposure and by directed energy deposition which provides drastically enlarged melt pools.

The in situ agglomeration behavior of semisolid Al–silicate inclusions in Si‐killed steel is studied using high‐temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy. Particle motion and interparticle forces at the steel/argon interface are quantified and compared with a modified capillary interaction model.
