Optical Monitoring of PKS 1510-089: A Binary Black Hole System?
Three deep flux minima were observed with nearly the same time-scales and intervals for the blazar PKS 1510-089 in the past few years. A binary black hole system was proposed to be at the nucleus of this object, and a new minimum was predicted to occur ...

Shadows of exact binary black holes
Black hole (BH) shadows in dynamical binary BHs (BBHs) have been produced via ray-tracing techniques on top of expensive fully non-linear numerical relativity simulations. We show that the main features of these shadows are captured by a simple quasi-static resolution of the photon orbits on top of the static double-Schwarzschild family of solutions ...

Sub‐5 nm double‐gate MOSFETs based on 2D SiAs monolayers are investigated using quantum transport simulations. By engineering source‐drain underlap regions, the devices achieve exceptional on‐currents of up to 1206 µA µm−1, surpassing the ITRS 2028 high‐performance targets.

Black Hole Accretion and Spin-up through Stellar Collisions in Dense Star Clusters
Dynamical interactions in dense star clusters could significantly influence the properties of black holes, leaving imprints on their gravitational-wave signatures.

Black Hole Accretion in Gamma Ray Bursts
We study the structure and evolution of the hyperaccreting disks and outflows in the gamma ray bursts central engines. The torus around a stellar mass black hole is composed of free nucleons, Helium, electron-positron pairs, and is cooled by neutrino ...

We have studied three most recent precursor flares in the light curve of the blazar OJ 287 while invoking the presence of a precessing binary black hole in the system to explain the nature of these flares.

Toward Complete CO2 Electroconversion: Status, Challenges, and Perspectives
Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction and CO2 batteries face challenges in achieving complete CO2 conversion with high conversion rates and Faradaic efficiency simultaneously. Existing systems compromise one for the other with incomplete CO2 conversion and inefficiencies, hindering practical applications. This perspective highlights state‐of‐the‐art progress,

Counting Black Holes: The Cosmic Stellar Remnant Population and Implications for LIGO
We present an empirical approach for interpreting gravitational wave signals of binary black hole mergers under the assumption that the underlying black hole population is sourced by remnants of stellar evolution.

Survival Probability for a Hypervelocity Star in Close Neighborhood of a Supermassive Black Hole
We present the results of numerical simulation on the probability of formation of a Hypervelocity Star (HVS) in the scenario of dynamic capture of a close binary system by the central black hole in the Galaxy and on the probability of its survival in the
