Solving 0–1 Knapsack Problems by Binary Dragonfly Algorithm
2017The 0–1 knapsack problem (0–1KP) is a well-known combinatorial optimization problem. It is an NP-hard problem which plays significant roles in many real life applications. Dragonfly algorithm (DA) a novel swarm intelligence optimization algorithm, inspired by the nature of static and dynamic swarming behaviors of dragonflies.

CBDA: Chaos-based binary dragonfly algorithm for evolutionary feature selection
Intelligent Data AnalysisThe goal of feature selection in machine learning is to simultaneously maintain more classification accuracy, while reducing lager amount of attributes. In this paper, we firstly design a fitness function that achieves both objectives jointly. Then we come up with a chaos-based binary dragonfly algorithm (CBDA) that incorporates several improvements ...

The paper has addressed on design of robust fuzzy cascade controller for automatic generation control (AGC) of a multi-area power system under both step load and stochastic load perturbations. The AGC aims to maintain proper balance between net generation and active demand to pertain stability over system frequency and tie-line power effectively.

Microarray gene data comprises of a large number of genes and fewer samples. Feature Selection (FS) is performed to select disease-causing genes and enhance the performance of the learning model. FS algorithms can either employ a learning model or use only data information to select the features. Each of these has its own drawbacks.
