This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

In this paper the concept of bi-conjugative relations on sets is introduced. Characterizations of this relations are obtained. In addition, particulary we show that the anti-order relation \not\le in poset (L, \le) is not a bi-conjugative relation.

Tunable Sound Absorption via Evanescent‐Wave Coupling in Asymmetric Bilayer Metasurfaces

Tunable sound absorption is realized through a bilayer metasurface system governed by evanescent‐wave coupling. This work demonstrates that such evanescent‐wave coupling provides a controllable scattering channel that destructively interferes with the specular reflection.
