Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

An Information Theoretical Method for Analyzing Unreplicated Designs with Binary Response

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2019
The analysis of unreplicated factorial designs constitutes a challenging but difficult issue since there are no degrees of freedom so as to estimate the error variance.

Generalized Additive Mixed-Models for Pharmacology Using Integrated Discrete Multiple Organ Co-Culture. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Integrated Discrete Multiple Organ Co-culture (IDMOC) is emerging as an in-vitro alternative to in-vivo animal models for pharmacology studies. IDMOC allows dose-response relationships to be investigated at the tissue and organoid levels, yet, these ...

Optimal Crowdsourced Classification with a Reject Option in the Presence of Spammers

open access: yes, 2017
We explore the design of an effective crowdsourcing system for an $M$-ary classification task. Crowd workers complete simple binary microtasks whose results are aggregated to give the final decision.
