Elements of the set of diagrams of binary systems

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2010
All the possible elements of the set of binary systems (ideal, zeotropic, mono-, bi-, triazeotropic, homo- and heterogeneous) were explored. The overall amount of the possible types of diagrams of binary systems was calculated.

Scattering amplitudes for binary systems beyond GR

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Amplitude methods have proven to be a promising technique to perform Post-Minkowskian calculations used as inputs to construct gravitational waveforms. In this paper, we show how these methods can be extended beyond the standard calculations in General ...

Search for gravitational waves from low mass compact binary coalescence in LIGO’s sixth science run and Virgo’s science runs 2 and 3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We report on a search for gravitational waves from coalescing compact binaries using LIGO and Virgo observations between July 7, 2009, and October 20, 2010.

Close binary systems among very low mass stars and brown dwarfs

open access: yes, 2005
Using Monte Carlo simulations and published radial velocity surveys we have constrained the frequency and separation (a) distribution of very low mass star (VLM) and brown dwarf (BD) binary systems. We find that simple Gaussian extensions of the observed

The role of cluster evolution in disrupting planetary systems and disks: the Kozai mechanism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We examine the effects of dynamical evolution in clusters on planetary systems or protoplanetary disks orbiting the components of binary stars. In particular, we look for evidence that the companions of host stars of planetary systems or disks could have

Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

Thermodynamic description of phase equilibrium in systems MCl5–MCl5, (M = Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Re) and MCl3–MCl3, (M = Ln)

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2011
The paper considers the Saint-John-Bloch model and proves that this model is applicable for describing phase equilibrium in binary systems formed by pentachlorides of d-elements of groups V, Vl, Vll of the periodic system and lanthanide chlorides.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
