A shape-based stereo matching algorithm for binocular vision

Proceedings 2014 IEEE International Conference on Security, Pattern Analysis, and Cybernetics (SPAC), 2014
Binocular stereo vision is an important branch of the research area in computer vision. Stereo matching is the most important process in binocular vision. In this paper, a new stereo matching scheme using shape-based matching (SBM) is presented to improve the depth reconstruction method of binocular stereo vision systems. The method works in two steps.

Evaluation of depth perception based on binocular stereo vision

2017 13th International Conference on Natural Computation, Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (ICNC-FSKD), 2017
With the development of image and video technology based on binocular stereo vision, more and more researches have focused on perception effects and influence factors of stereoscopic 3D (S3D) images. Up to now, investigation of factor analysis and evaluation for the depth perception of S3D image is still rare.

Calibration and location analysis of a heterogeneous binocular stereo vision system

Applied Optics, 2021
In the dairy farming industry, we can obtain the temperature, color, and location information of dairy cows by patrol inspection robot so as to monitor the health status and abnormal behaviors of dairy cows. We build and calibrate a heterogeneous binocular stereo vision (HBSV) system comprising a high-definition color camera and ...

An Object Reconstruction Method Based on Binocular Stereo Vision

2017
This paper presents an object reconstruction method based on a binocular stereo vision system. First, the relative position and orientation between the two cameras of the system are obtained by a binocular calibration process. Then feature pixels are extracted from images of the two cameras of the same scene according to the SIFT (Scale Invariant ...
