Efficacy of Putative Botanical Fumigants and Fungicides Against Soil‐Borne Fungal Pathogens in Wheat
ABSTRACT The negative effects of pesticides for humans and environment have encouraged research into natural control means to protect crops from biotic stresses. This study evaluated the antifungal activity and phytotoxicity of seven natural putative inhibitory products (PIPs), as well their persistence, under both in vitro and in vivo conditions.

Between Strategy and Survival? How Agri‐Food SMEs Navigate Voluntary Sustainability Disclosure
ABSTRACT In a context of increasing regulatory pressure and ambiguity around sustainability reporting, this study analyses small and medium enterprises' (SMEs) motivations and challenges in relation to the voluntary adoption of such practices. Using a sector‐based approach, semi‐structured interviews were conducted with 26 agri‐business leaders from ...

Long read bacterial and eukaryotic ribosomal operon sequencing combined with stable isotope probing (SIP) allowed the differentiation of microbiomes in low‐ and high‐yield blueberry farm soils. This report may ultimately be used to improve productivity and potentially detect the responsible pathogenic agent(s) or other deleterious microbes.

The bZIP63.5 transcription factor, activated by Alternaria alternata stress, directly upregulates zinc‐finger transcription factors (Zn2CyS6 and C2H2 types), which in turn enhance the expression of downstream detoxification and defence‐related genes, collectively improving the biocontrol efficacy of Trichoderma harzianum.
