2,2,6,6‐tetramethyl‐1‐piperidine‐N‐oxyl‐catalyzed glycerol electrochemical oxidation proceeds with different selectivity when comparing bulk stirred and flow electrolysis. Conversion of glycerol to value‐added products is an attractive solution to the oversupply of this byproduct of biofuel production.

Tall oil fatty acids are first converted into their corresponding soaps, which subsequently undergo decarboxylation in the photoreactor to yield the respective alkenes. Through hydration with sulfuric acid, these alkenes are further transformed into the corresponding alcohols, which can serve as valuable precursors in downstream processes for the ...

This graphical abstract illustrates an integrated electrocatalytic refining system designed for sustainable chemical and fuel production. At its core, the Biomass Oxidation Reaction (BOR) replaces conventional water oxidation at the anode. It is coupled with various cathodic reactions, such as the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER), CO2 Reduction (CO2RR)
