Harnessing the nutritional potential of Cape wild edible plants: Insights, gaps and priorities
Wild edible plants hold significant potential to strengthen food systems by enhancing nutrition, dietary diversity, climate resilience, sustainability and deeper connection of people to their food. In this study, we conducted a systematic literature review to identify knowledge gaps and assess the nutritional contributions of selected wild edible ...

Assessing wildfire dynamics during a megafire in Portugal using the MesoNH/ForeFire coupled model
Weather conditions affect megafires by inducing different fire behaviors over several days or weeks. The coupled MesoNH/ForeFire code was used to represent the dynamics of fire generating pyro‐convective clouds. To advance the understanding of wildfire dynamics, high‐resolution coupled fire–atmosphere modeling was employed.

Tree canopy height is a key indicator of forest biomass and structure, yet accurate mapping across the Amazon remains challenging. Here, we generated a canopy height map of the Amazon forest at ~4.8 m resolution using Planet NICFI imagery and a deep learning U‐Net model trained with airborne LiDAR data.
