Menopausal Stage–Specific Associations of Body Fat Content and Total Body Water With Vasomotor Symptoms

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 5, October 2026.
Associations of adiposity and total body water with vasomotor symptoms varied according to menopausal stage. Divergent relationships observed across body composition measures suggest that distinct physiological mechanisms may underlie vasomotor symptoms during the menopausal transition and postmenopause.

An Ultra‐Low‐Power Biopotential Acquisition Analog Front‐End Chip for Wearable Devices

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Volume 54, Issue 10, Page 5030-5044, October 2026.
A 0.8‐V, 1.2‐μW biopotential AFE combines a chopper‐stabilized CCIA with dual‐time‐scale EDO management. The slow DSL preserves > 1 GΩ input impedance, whereas an event‐triggered fast‐recovery path shortens return to the linear range after abrupt electrode‐offset disturbances. ABSTRACT A 0.8‐V, 1.2‐μW biopotential analog front‐end (AFE) IC is presented

Ramadan Intermittent Fasting and Injury Epidemiology in Mid and Late Adolescent Elite Male Football Players: A Prospective Cohort Study of Incidence, Burden, Training Load, and Psychophysiological Well‐Being

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 26, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the influence of Ramadan fasting on injury incidence, training load, subjective well‐being, postural control, and dietary intake in competitive mid‐ and late elite male adolescent football players across three study phases.

Nonlinear Correlation Between Prognostic Nutritional Index and Disease Activity of Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The prognostic nutritional index (PNI) is a composite marker reflecting the nutritional and inflammatory status. Its association with disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) remains incompletely understood. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between PNI and RA disease activity.

Population‐Based Prediction Equations for Appendicular Skeletal Muscle Mass: A Three‐Phase Validation Study in 13 582 Asian Adults

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Accurate estimation of appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM) is crucial for sarcopenia diagnosis, but device‐dependent approaches (dual‐energy X‐ray absorptiometry [DXA] or bioelectrical impedance analysis [BIA]) limit widespread application in community settings.
