Harnessing Filler Materials for Enhancing Biogas Separation Membranes.

open access: yesChemical Reviews, 2018
Biogas is an increasingly attractive renewable resource, envisioned to secure future energy demands and help curb global climate change. To capitalize on this resource, membrane processes and state-of-the-art membranes must efficiently recover methane ...

A novel technique based on a cylindrical microwave resonator for high pressure phase equilibrium determination [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics Volume 135, 2019, Pages 124-132
The development of a novel technique based on a cylindrical microwave resonator for high pressure phase equilibrium determination is described. Electric permittivity or dielectric constant is a physical property that depends on temperature and pressure $\epsilon$($p$,$T$).

Accurate experimental ($p$, $ρ$, $T$) data of natural gas mixtures for the assessment of reference equations of state when dealing with hydrogen-enriched natural gas [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hydrogen Energy Volume 43, Issue 49, 2018, Pages 21983-21998
The GERG-2008 equation of state is the approved ISO standard (ISO 20765-2) for the calculation of thermophysical properties of natural gas mixtures. The composition of natural gas can vary considerably due to the diversity of origin. Further diversification was generated by adding hydrogen, biogas, or other non-conventional energy gases.

A critical study of sustainable biocomposites developed from rheologically distinct poly(butylene adipate‐co‐terephthalate) (PBAT) reinforced with biocarbon from coconut (Cocos nucifera) for rigid applications

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
This work highlights the development of a sustainable composite with improved dimensional and thermal stability as well as mechanical performance, for rigid application. To promote sustainability and a circular economy, we have reduced PBAT percentage content by half and incorporated waste coconut shell up to 50 wt.%.

Quantifying environmental impacts of cleaner fish used as sea lice treatments in salmon aquaculture with life cycle assessment

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Ecology, Volume 26, Issue 6, Page 1992-2005, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Increasing pressure of sea lice, development of multi‐resistance to chemotherapeutants, and alternative delousing strategies have been raising concerns about the environmental impacts of salmon farming. Ectoparasitic sea lice and its treatments represent a major bottleneck for the development of the Norwegian salmonid aquaculture.
