Identification of Potential Crucial Genes and Key Pathways in Breast Cancer Using Bioinformatic Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
Background: The molecular mechanism of tumorigenesis remains to be fully understood in breast cancer. It is urgently required to identify genes that are associated with breast cancer development and prognosis and to elucidate the underlying molecular ...

Aptamer Bioinformatics [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2017
Aptamers are short nucleic acid sequences capable of specific, high-affinity molecular binding. They are isolated via SELEX (Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment), an evolutionary process that involves iterative rounds of selection and amplification before sequencing and aptamer characterization.

The Clinical Significance and Transcription Regulation of a DNA Damage Repair Gene, SMC4, in Low-Grade Glioma via Integrated Bioinformatic Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2021
Glioma is the most common type of malignant tumor in the central nervous system with an unfavorable prognosis and limited treatment. In this study, we are devoted to addressing the prognostic value of DNA damage repair-related genes in low-grade glioma ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
