Lessons from Bioinvasion of Lake Champlain, U.S.A.
2017Freshwater lakes provide ideal habitat for invasive species, such as the zebra mussel, which can weaken lake ecological integrity by altering food web structure and dynamics. This case study utilized 23 years Lake Champlain data to examine relationships among water quality, invasive species, native mysids (Mysis diluviana) and the zooplankton community.

Truth and consequences: the bioinvasion of the Mediterranean Sea
Integrative Zoology, 2012AbstractOver 660 alien marine multicellular species have been recorded in the Mediterranean Sea, with many establishing viable populations and subsequently dispersing from their points of entry. A brief overview is presented of the current state of knowledge of bioinvasions in the Mediterranean Sea, with particular attention paid to gelatinous invasive

Bioinvasion Ecology: Assessing Invasion Impact and Scale
2002Two aspects of assessing the impact and scale of invasions are explored here. First, the argument is made that it is not possible to place introduced species into one of two bins — those with, and those without,“impact” or “harm”. Species invasions lead to a broad and deep sliding scale of alterations in invaded communities, as well as multiple ranges ...
