B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common intraocular malignancy of childhood caused by inactivation of the Rb genes. The prognosis of RB is better with an earlier diagnosis. Many diagnostic approaches and appropriate clinical treatments have been developed to improve clinical outcomes. However, limitations exist when utilizing current methods.

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Associations of zinc-α-2-glycoprotein with metabolic syndrome and its components among adult Arabs
Epidemiological studies suggest that the Zinc-α-2-glycoprotein (ZAG) plays significant physiological roles. In this study we investigate whether ZAG could be considered as a clinical biomarker in the diagnosis and prognosis of metabolic syndrome (MetS ...

This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

Sepsis remains a leading cause of death in critically ill patients, despite efforts to improve patient outcome. Thus far, no magic drugs exist for severe sepsis and septic shock. Instead, early diagnosis and prompt initial management such as early goal-directed therapy are key to improve sepsis outcome. For early detection of sepsis, biological markers

mir‐196a promotes Esophagus Adenocarcinoma aggressiveness. On one hand, mir‐196a targets the valosin‐containing protein (VCP) mRNA, causing the accumulation of c‐MYC protein that leads to high amounts of TERT. On the other hand, mir‐196a targets the inhibitor of NFκB (NFKBIA).
