A biometric analysis of the pelvic acetabulum as an indicator of sex in bovids
Abstract Despite its potential importance in the reconstruction of hunting strategies and subsistence patterns, determining sex in zooarchaeological assemblages is a task that has been often neglected because the assemblages consist mainly of fragmentary bones. Only a limited amount of research has been focused on sexing individuals at archaeological

Event related potential (ERP) as a reliable biometric indicator: A comparative approach
Abstract There is growing tendency to elicit subject-dependent features from physiological data like electroencephalogram (EEG) signals, which is the most relative one to the subject’s brain, though the behavior of this signal does not obey any grammatical pattern.

Soft Active Electromyography Interface for Machine Learning‐Enabled Silent Speech Recognition
A soft, hand‐worn electromyography interface enables intent‐driven silent speech recognition without continuous facial attachment. The device integrates liquid‐metal interconnects, a transparent flexible circuit, and elastomer encapsulation with a fingertip electrode that contacts perioral muscles only on demand.

Prenatal Evaluation of RNU4‐2 Variants in Fetuses With Central Nervous System Anomalies
ABSTRACT Fetal central nervous system (CNS) anomalies are among the most common congenital malformations, yet the overall prenatal diagnostic yield of current genetic testing remains below 40%. Variants in RNU4‐2, a non‐coding gene encoding the U4 small nuclear RNA (snRNA), have recently been linked to a novel highly recurrent dominant ...

Cold Gas Plasma Induces Platelet Activation and Hemostasis in Native and Anticoagulated Human Blood
Cold physical gas plasma induces platelet activation and hemostatic responses in native and anticoagulated human blood. Treatment efficacy depends on plasma parameters, including gas composition, distance, and exposure mode, which govern reactive species delivery and energy transfer.
