Étude expérimentale du cycle biologique de Echinostoma togoensis n. sp., parasite à l’état larvaire de Biomphalaria pfeifferi au Togo [PDF]
The adult and larval stages of Echinostoma togoensis are described. E. togoensis evolves at the reddened stage in the genital gland of Biomphalaria pfeifferi, which it sterilizes completely. Metacercariae develop either in the pericardial cavity of various aquatic Pulmonata or in the kidneys of Amphibian tadpoles.

Extracellular Vesicle Properties and Functions Are Defined by the Originating Cell's Fitness Status
ABSTRACT Recent studies have focused on the role of dying cells in modulating immune function and shaping the local microenvironment. Apoptotic cells release various extracellular vesicles (EVs), such as exosomes and microvesicles, and form apoptotic bodies through membrane blebbing.

Surveys at five sites recorded 2479 individuals.

Citizen scientists and an expert jointly monitor Biomphalaria snails (the intermediate host of Schistosoma mansoni) in rural areas of southwest Uganda, generating over 4500 georeferenced records. By comparing expert‐ and citizen‐based distribution models under perfect and imperfect detection, we demonstrate that site type and NDVI consistently ...
