Clinical predictors of calcification of xenoaortic biological prosthesis of valves
A retrospective analysis of clinical status of the recipients of biological prosthesis in mitral position was conducted: group 1 included patients with histologically confirmed calcification, group 11 included patients with normal morphology ...

Background: Surgical bioprosthetic aortic valve replacement is a ubiquitous procedure, with several factors identified in affecting outcomes. We hypothesize that smaller valves may be associated with worse outcomes and decreased freedom from clinical ...

Background The durability of bioprosthetic heart valves is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD) due to long-term calcification. A novel bioprosthetic tissue (RESILIATM) has been developed which, in preclinical studies, has shown reduced ...

This paper presents a unique case of successful implementation of left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) in a pediatric patient with third‐degree atrioventricular block following tricuspid valve replacement for a complex Ebstein anomaly. The procedure was performed under real‐time recording technique, and resulted in the resolution of the patient's symptoms.

Very Early and Unusual Aortic Bioprosthetic Valve Deterioration 9 Months after Implantation
Every component of valvular bioprostheses is prone to variable structural deterioration secondary to multifactorial etiopathogenesis. Calcific degeneration is the most common phenomenon.

ABSTRACT Background The self‐expanding, supra‐annular Evolut valve is an established platform for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI). Evolut PRO introduced an outer sealing wrap to mitigate paravalvular leakage. We evaluated the 3‐year clinical outcomes and valve performance of the Evolut PRO in standard clinical practice for severe aortic ...
