Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Evaluation of Xpert® MTB/RIF and ustar easyNAT™ TB IAD for diagnosis of tuberculous lymphadenitis of children in Tanzania : a prospective descriptive study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Fine needle aspiration biopsy has become a standard approach for diagnosis of peripheral tuberculous lymphadenitis. The aim of this study was to compare the performance of Xpert MTB/RIF and Ustar EasyNAT TB IAD nucleic acid amplification assays, against ...

EUS-guided fine needle biopsy of pancreatic masses can yield true histology

open access: yesGut, 2017
As cytological aspirates from endoscopic-ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) has limited diagnostic sensitivity and are suboptimal for molecular profiling and morphological characterisation of certain neoplasms, a fine needle biopsy (FNB ...

Ovarian Matrisome Dynamics and αvβ3‐Mediated Regulation in Early Follicular Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The matrisome undergoes dynamic remodeling during early follicular development. Integrin αvβ3 mediates matrisome signals, regulating primordial follicle activation/atresia and secondary follicle growth via Hippo/mTOR pathways, with conserved roles in human ovaries, offering therapeutic targets for ovarian disorders.

Computed tomography guided needle biopsy: experience from 1,300 procedures

open access: yesSão Paulo Medical Journal
CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE: Computed tomography (CT) guided biopsy is widely accepted as effective and safe for diagnosis in many settings. Accuracy depends on target organ and needle type. Cutting needles present advantages over fine needles.

Interobserver agreement of Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TIRADS) and strain elastography for the assessment of thyroid nodules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background: Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TIRADS) was developed to improve patient management and cost-effectiveness by avoiding unnecessary fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) in patients with thyroid nodules.

Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Itch‐induced tick removal (IITR): An acquired neuroimmune mechanism, itch‐induced tick removal, develops after repeated tick exposure, mobilizing T cells and macrophages at the tick bite site to trigger a rapid scratching response that facilitates timely tick removal within a critical window that precedes the transmission of many tick‐borne pathogens ...

Detection of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma liver disease in cirrhotic patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Computer tomography (CT) scan and ultrasound scan (US) are the preferred methods for staging subdiaphragmatic non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL),1 but their sensitivity in detecting focal lesions in the liver may be reduced if fibrosis is present.
