Tree Shrew as an Emerging Model for Aging Research: Characterization of Senescence and Therapeutic Interventions

Compared with mouse cells, tree shrew fibroblasts more faithfully recapitulate the hallmarks of human cellular senescence. In vivo, aged tree shrews exhibit transcriptomic signatures of aging across multiple organs that closely mirror those observed in humans.
