Polychlorinated biphenyls – toxicity and risks
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are synthetic organochlorine compounds differing by their physico-chemical and toxicological properties and tend to bioaccumulate and biomagnificate in the environment and within the food chain.

Preparation of alkali metal dispersions [PDF]
A method is described for producing alkali metal dispersions of high purity. The dispersions are prepared by varying the equilibrium solubility of the alkali metal in a suitable organic solvent in the presence of aromatic hydrocarbons.

Identification of biphenyls - contaminants responsible for off-flavour in soft drinks
Off-flavour in soft drinks is one of the main threats to manufacturers, which can result in expensive recalls, and discredit the brand. Off-flavours can occur for a variety of reasons (e.g . chemical contamination of raw material).
