Successful Revascularization of Chronic Total Occlusions in Patients With Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Disease

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 107, Issue 7, Page 2323-2334, June 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease (CTEPD) leads to chronic total occlusions (CTOs) of the pulmonary arteries in a minority of patients. Treatment of CTOs with balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) may substantially improve patient hemodynamics but presents unique technical challenges and has previously been associated with a ...

Cangrelor Bridge for Repeat Cesarean After Third Trimester Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for Total Occlusion NSTEMI

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Visual Summary, case timeline of non‐ST‐elevation MI with PCI followed by cangrelor bridge for classical cesarean delivery. ABSTRACT Acute coronary syndrome is an uncommon but potentially life‐threatening complication in pregnancy, and dual antiplatelet therapy presents challenges in patients requiring cesarean delivery.

Atrial Flutter as a Late Presentation of Scimitar Vein in an Adult With Prior ASD Repair

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Adult patients with unexplained atrial arrhythmias and right heart dilation should prompt consideration of congenital anomalies such as scimitar vein, even decades after atrial septal defect repair. Early recognition using multi‐modality imaging may prevent delayed diagnosis and progressive cardiopulmonary complications.

Uncertainty Analysis of Supersonic Biplane's Aerodynamic Characteristics

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2019
Utilizing the interference of shock and expansion waves, supersonic biplane can reduce the wave drag remarkably. However, the supersonic biplane is only designed at special conditions, so that it has poor performance at off-design conditions.

Impact of Ceiling Suspended Shield Size on Primary Operator Radiation Dose During Coronary Angiography and Intervention

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, Volume 73, Issue 2, Page 150-155, June 2026.
Reducing radiation exposure to staff performing coronary angiography and intervention is an occupational health and safety priority for hospitals. We demonstrate that a larger lead acrylic shield, with lead rubber pleats on the lower edge will reduce radiation exposure to the cardiologist performing the procedure by approximately 40%. We recommend that

Electro‐Mechanical Dissociation in Chagas Cardiomyopathy: Comparative Analysis of Arrhythmic Burden Beyond LVEF

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
Despite matched clinical characteristics and LVEF, patients with Chagas cardiomyopathy exhibit a significantly higher arrhythmic burden compared to ischemic cardiomyopathy. This electro‐mechanical dissociation highlights the necessity of sudden death risk stratification strategies that extend beyond traditional ejection fraction thresholds.

Longitudinal Modeling and Control of Tailed Flapping-Wings Micro Air Vehicles near Hovering

open access: yesJournal of Robotics, 2019
Compared with the tailless flapping wing micro air vehicle (FMAV), the tailed FMAV has a simpler structure and is easier to control. However, although biplane FMAVs with tails have been used for flight control in practice for a long time, a theoretical ...

Efficacy of a Novel Ablation Index Algorithm for Cavotricuspid Isthmus Ablation Using a Flexible‐Tip Ablation Catheter

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
AutoMark Index (AI) is a novel ablation algorithm that combines contact force, radiofrequency current, and application to provide real‐time lesion formation. AI‐guided CTI ablation protocol is efficient in shortening RF duration for acute bidirectional CTI block and CTI procedure time compared to the conventional 40 W ablation protocol.
