Simulation of space charge behavior in LDPE with a modified of bipolar charge transport model

Proceedings of 2014 International Symposium on Electrical Insulating Materials, 2014
In this paper, an simply ion charge transport model is proposed, compared with bipolar charge transport model. It consists of ion generation by field assisted dissociation of impurities, transport, trapping and recombination in polymer. To simplify the model, it is assumed that only one type of impurity existing in polymer.

Bipolar resistive switching and charge transport in silicon oxide memristor

Materials Science and Engineering B: Solid-State Materials for Advanced Technology, 2015
Abstract Reproducible bipolar resistive switching has been studied in SiO x -based thin-film memristor structures deposited by magnetron sputtering technique on the TiN/Ti metalized SiO 2 /Si substrates. It is established that, after electroforming, the structure can be switched between the quasi-ohmic low-resistance state related to silicon chains

Charge transport properties of insulators revealed by surface potential decay experiment and bipolar charge transport model with genetic algorithm

IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 2012
To evaluate spacecraft charging level and predict surface and internal electrostatic discharging (ESD) probability, it is important to know the charge transport properties of high insulation materials, such as epoxy resin/glass composition (FR4), Teflon and polyimide. In present work, the charge transport properties of the space insulators are revealed

Bipolar Hydrodynamical Model for Charge Transport in Graphene Nanoribbons

Journal of Computational and Theoretical Transport, 2022
A hydrodynamical model for charge transport in narrow strips of graphene is here presented. The model takes into account the interactions with the well-known lattice vibrations and with the edge of the strip. The remarkable result is the modulation of the charge current due to the swapping of charge carriers between the conduction and the valence bands,

Joule Heating and Nonlinear Charge Transport in Bipolar Semiconductors

physica status solidi (b), 2022
Joule heating of a homogeneous bipolar semiconductor leads to the appearance of nonequilibrium spatially inhomogeneous current carriers. Both energetic and concentration nonequilibrium states arise. Temperature and concentration gradients at the boundaries always have opposite signs.

A Bipolar Charge Transport Molecule

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1996
Hole and electron mobilities have been measured in vapor deposited layers of N-(p-(di-p-tolylamino)phenyl)- N′-(1,2-dimethylpropyl)-1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic diimide (TAND). The TAND molecule contains a naphthalene diimide acceptor functionality and a triarylamine donor functionality.

A model for bipolar charge transport in insulators

Proceedings of 1995 IEEE 5th International Conference on Conduction and Breakdown in Solid Dielectrics, 2002
Failure of electrical cable insulation is still a major problem for the electricity generation and supply industries. Under high field conditions (>10/sup 8/ Vm/sup -1/), space charge and the concomitant electric field dynamics are involved in the initiation of dielectric breakdown.

Evidence of bipolar charge transport in PTCDA

Solid State Communications, 2002
Transient photocurrent measurements were employed to investigate the electronic charge transport in thin layers of 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride deposited by high-vacuum evaporation onto In-covered Si(001) substrates. Measurements performed at two different bias polarities indicate that both holes and electrons are transported in the ...

Balancing charge-transporting characteristics in bipolar host materials

Thin Solid Films, 2020
Abstract Bipolar host materials with balanced charge transporting property were synthesized using a solvent-less green reaction method. The characteristics of these synthesized bipolar host materials were examined by thermal and spectroscopic analysis.
