A new numerical model applied to bipolar charge transport, trapping and recombination under low and high dc voltages

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2007
In this paper, we present a new numerical formulation that we have applied to the model for bipolar charge transport, trapping and recombination in polymeric insulators, such as low density polyethylene. The numerical model is based on the high precision Runge–Kutta method for determining mobile and trapped charge local density within the sample ...

Bipolar electronic charge transport model under trap density Gaussian spatial distribution: application to dielectric polymer interfaces

Physica Scripta, 2019
Abstract Our new approach consists of applying the Gaussian spatial distribution function to study the trapping process bipolar electronic charge transport at dielectric–dielectric as well as dielectric-electrode interfaces.

Bipolar charge transport model with trapping and recombination: an analysis of the current versus applied electric field characteristic in steady state conditions

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2007
A bipolar model of transport intended to describe the behaviour of polyethylene under dc stress in steady state conditions is presented. The model is based on Poisson's equation and the conservation law of charges, with trapping, detrapping and recombination phenomena being taken into account.
