The Feasibility of Ambulatory Heart Rate Variability Monitoring in Non‐Suicidal Self‐Injury

open access: yesHealthcare Technology Letters, Volume 12, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Vagal tone, as indexed by heart rate variability (HRV), is a measure of emotion regulation capacity. It is possible that non‐suicidal self‐injury (NSSI) occurs at times of low vagal tone and that NSSI may increase it. This prospective observational study examined the feasibility of ambulatory HRV monitoring during NSSI.

Publication guidelines for human heart rate and heart rate variability studies in psychophysiology—Part 1: Physiological underpinnings and foundations of measurement

open access: yesPsychophysiology, Volume 61, Issue 9, September 2024.
Abstract This Committee Report provides methodological, interpretive, and reporting guidance for researchers who use measures of heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) in psychophysiological research. We provide brief summaries of best practices in measuring HR and HRV via electrocardiographic and photoplethysmographic signals in laboratory ...

Arthroscopic Distal Clavicle Bone Block Combined With Hill‐Sachs Remplissage for Primary Anterior Shoulder Instability Treatment

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, Volume 13, Issue 3, March 2024.
Abstract Arthroscopic distal clavicle transfer is an effective option to treat anterior shoulder instability with glenoid bone loss. The use of this free bone graft in an all‐inside procedure, with a cortical button fixation makes the construct simpler to perform and allows to be combined with a Hill‐Sachs Remplissage to address humeral bone defect ...

Use of Esketamine Nasal Spray in Patients with Treatment‐Resistant Depression in Routine Practice: A Real‐World French Study

open access: yesDepression and Anxiety, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Background. The efficacy and safety of esketamine nasal spray (ESK) were established in registration trials in patients with treatment‐resistant depression (TRD). This French real‐world study aimed to describe the treatment patterns, effectiveness, and safety of ESK in TRD patients over a 12‐month follow‐up. Materials and Methods.
