Architected Elastomers as Load Bearing Actuators for Untethered Soft Robot Walking
Advanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.Electrically driven soft actuators that enable untethered soft robot walking are developed from 3D printed architected elastomers. The actuators have a handed shearing auxetic structure that enables fast, robust, and battery‐powered motions. The actuators are 3D printed from thermoplastic polyurethane on a desktop FDM printer.
