Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Mineral Processing of Silver-carrying Bismuth Minerals from Yunnan

open access: yesKuangchan zonghe liyong
The gravity separation crude concentrate produced by a certain mine contains 17.9 g/t of silver, 1.15% of bismuth, and 23.42% of sulfur. 73.29% of the silver is present in bismuth minerals, with the main bismuth mineral being natural bismuth and a small ...

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Bismuth-containing drugs in clinical practice in the XXI century - history or a new round of possibilities?

open access: yesЛечащий Врач
Background. Bismuth is a somewhat rare element, similar in content to silver and mercury, but cheaper to produce because large amounts of bismuth are extracted as a by-product of copper and tin processing.

Synthesis and thermoelectric characterization of Bi2Te3 nanoparticles

open access: yes, 2009
We report a novel synthesis for near monodisperse, sub-10-nm Bi2Te3 nanoparticles. At first, a new reduction route to bismuth nanoparticles is described which are applied as starting materials in the formation of rhombohedral Bi2Te3 nanoparticles.
